What is the difference between Stainless Sockolet and Stainless Weldolet?

The terms "Stainless Sockolet" and "Stainless Weldolet" describe two types of connection components used in piping systems. The fundamental difference between these two terms is the connection points they are used for.

1. Stainless Sockolet: A Stainless Sockolet is a connection component that is mounted beside a pipe and welded to the outer surface of the pipe. Because the Sockolet is welded to the outer surface of the pipe, this connection point is more durable and robust. It is often preferred for high-pressure and high-temperature applications.

2. Stainless Weldolet: On the other hand, a Stainless Weldolet is mounted beside a pipe, but it is welded to the inner surface of the pipe, not the pipe itself. Since the Weldolet is welded to the inner surface of the pipe, it requires less material and provides a lighter connection point. It is typically used in low-pressure and low-temperature applications.

In summary, a Stainless Sockolet is welded to the outer surface of the pipe, while a Stainless Weldolet is welded to the inner surface of the pipe. Therefore, the applications and conditions in which they are used are often different. Your choice will depend on the needs and operating conditions of your piping system.
